Are Cougars the in thing in Kenya today?
The other day I was listening to Maina Kageni and Mwalimu King'angi talk about cougars in Kenya today. I was surprised to find out that most people don't really know how many young men out there are desperate to get one. Cougars in Kenya today are like hot cakes, a dream come true.
I really think one thing that has led to this is the simple fact that dating a young girl today is an uphill task unless you have money to spend and don't mind paying the bills. Especially Campus chicks. Most young men just shy away from them and wouldn't even dream of dating them, unless there is money to spend.
These young men are finding solace with cougars. Somebody who understands you and what you are going through. It's not that these men are looking for somebody to mother them, it's just that it's so hard to meet somebody who understands you and is willing to walk with you. Young women want a package, something perfect and no man can claim to be.
Wit women empowerment and most men still shying from the financially emancipated woman, the number of cougars will rise. These are just women who are willing to live their lives without having to conform to the chauvinism of men who have defined this world before. They just want a better life and nobody can take that away from them or can we?
As of the young women, have fun while you can! It seems attention has shifted and you will be facing competition from the least expected of places.
